The scope of work is broad, ranging from feature enhancements to completely designing user experiences for new areas of content management. This requires a lot of research, testing and development followed by iterations based on feedback.

The intent:
Consolidate user workflows from several other CMS tools into the Mimosa framework.

The process:
I conducted user research to understand what the users do. Why do they prefer another tool over Mimosa? What is their workflow? I gathered a list of pain-points of their current workflow, Mimosa’s pain-points, and features that help their work. This research was aggregated and reviewed to create a toolkit for UX development.

The design:
The workflow consolidation was accomplished by creating a dropdown with features that included a search function, titles and supporting descriptions. An advanced function for bulk actions allows users to process multiple tasks at once, simplifying their workflows further.

From the user research result, it was apparent that more organized information available at their disposal was desired to create an efficient and accurate workflow. I proposed a more complex set of UX designs and pushed the product team to build a better tool for the users.

The intent:
In Support Content, when content producers need to update pricing, they had to manually go into each individual article and update each item. The intent of creating a new feature in Mimosa is to streamline the editing process and to allow users to perform bulk actions. Users can view and edit pricing in one place.

For singular edit flow, the design is intended to be quick and simple. Users can edit inline. If a user need to edit more than one item, they can select multiple products and edit all via a modal.

The intent:
There was no documentation when or how taxonomy was updated. Designing a History tab displays a timeline of activities and metadata within each taxonomy.
